Reformer Class Package

55 minutes of personal one-on-one instruction, which includes stretching, apparatus work, mat work and movement exercises.

Mat Class

50 minutes of small group or one-on-one instruction, which consists of stretching, movement and mat exercises. Maximum 6 people per class.

Tower Class

The Pilates Tower workout adds another level of challenge and development to Pilates workouts and is used in conjunction with the reformer. Users are able to have a greater sense of whether they are stabilizing and moving with proper integrity and control. The tower utilizes bars, loops and springs, which add add more variations to the Pilates family.

Jump Board

The jump board is a padded, vertical platform attached to the foot-end of the Reformer. Users can spring up and down off the jump board while lying on the moving carriage of the Reformer. A choreographed cardio exercise routine on the jump board is sometimes called “Aerobic Pilates.”

Cardio routines on the jump board have become popular in some Pilates sessions. Basic exercises on the jump board include double-leg and single-leg jumping, running in place, jumping jacks and prancing. Balance and coordination are also challenged while using the jump board. Cardio workouts on the jump board can also challenge the core, elevate the heart rate and train coordination. Other benefits include burning more calories, working the core in a different setting, and strengthening your muscles.

Annual Mat Class

This option is ideal for people committed to a Pilates lifestyle. If you're training at Pilates on Broadway 2-3 times per week, consider purchasing the annual mat class pass and save a few hundred dollars per year on mat classes.

Mat Work

Mat work emphasizes quality and precision rather than quantity of repetitions. Each exercise, performed in sequence, is designed to strengthen and stretch and also to integrate your body's muscles so that correct form and posture become a part of daily activities throughout your life.

Apparatus Work

The system developed by Joseph Pilates includes the use of uniquely designed apparatus in conjunction with the mat work. The apparatus utilize straps, springs and supports, creating isometric resistance with the body's weight to massage, align, stretch, and strengthen muscles. The use of equipment meeting Joseph Pilates' exacting specifications is directly related to the ability to perform the exercises correctly and to achieving the full benefits of his method.
